The Big Egg Hunt
I found Humpty Dumpty sitting on a wall in The Mall in London. In the nursery rhyme he had a great fall. But when I met him, all the Queen’s men were keeping him safe until he was auctioned off for charity.
London’s Big Egg Hunt featured more than two hundred painted eggs, which were displayed around the capital in 2012. I found about thirty of them, but none made me smile as much as Humpty Dumpty.

In the nursery rhyme, I thought it was all the King’s horses and all the King’s men who couldn’t put Humpty together again.
You’re quite right, Terry, but we haven’t had a King in England for more than sixty years now.
He was well guarded – a soldier and CCTV.
The security precautions were for the Royal family, not Humpty Dumpty. This is the entrance to Clarence House, where Prince Charles stays when he’s in London.
